I'M CAROLINE.

My name is Caroline Durlacher, and I’m an errant scholar, a creative writer, and a small business owner.

A deliriously eager scholarship student my whole life, I spent 10+ years studying cultural history and philosophy at Yale University, the University of Vienna, and UC Berkeley.

My studies culminated in original research that led me to a theorize what I began to call “embodied knowledge practice”:

a form of learning that is embodied, spiritual, transpersonal, technological, experimental, and creative. A knowledge rooted in love for the world and devotion to exploring its infinite detail.

It’s probably not surprising that this project burst the bounds of its container.

It called me to question the form of the doctoral dissertation. To experiment with new channels for writing and teaching. And finally to leave the university system entirely.

All the while, I was beginning to experiment with embodied, holistic, and often esoteric therapeutic modalities. At first for my own personal healing and expansion, but then for something just as priceless: an embodied knowledge that was deeper and richer than purely intellectual understanding.

I wanted to spend my life sharing the fruits of this work with others. So here I am.
